Great Experience at Maxima Aqua Fun of IGACOS

Maxima Aqua Fun was our next destination after a refreshing experience in Hagimit Falls. It is few meters away from the falls particularly located at Brgy. Cawag, Peñaplata, Island Garden City of Samal. The place offers wonderful outdoor activities like Water Blob, Giant Slide, Banana Boat, Kayaking, jetski including island hopping and Scuba diving for nature tripping.

This new attraction in IGACOS(Island Garden City of Samal) was actually my main itinerary of my Samal Island escapade because it was once featured in Kris TV last year. Their Tarpaulin Giant Slide vested my interest. I know there were a lot of beautiful places in Samal but this one knocks me off my feet due to its distinctive activities.

Unlike any other, I was surprised by their entrance because it’s totally different from the other beach resort. You need to ride a cable car called “Johnny’s Ride” to get into the beach instead of walking down stairs which is more convenient. What I like about riding the cable car is that you will able to witness the beautiful natural scenery of the Davao island.

Tarpaulin Giant Slide

It is one of the popular outdoor activities in Maxima Aqua Fun Resort. It is made up of a tarpaulin with 40 meters long and it only takes seconds to submerge your body into the water which is around 15-20 feet above sea level. We had fun and that was really exciting because of that stomach dropping feeling that would give you whoops of delight as you plunge into the water. I loved it. It’s addicting and I tried it many times.

Another outdoor activity in the maxima aqua fun which is more thrilling and intense than Giant Slide. This requires two participants. One will sit at the end of the partially inflated blob which is made from a tarpaulin and one will jump from around 15 feet high from the opposite side. Find a Buddha-like-partner who is strong enough to throw you up much higher.

We never had a chance to try kayaking, jetski, scuba and other water sport activities due to the bad weather so we decided to just go for swimming.

HOW TO GET THERE?

The airlines like Philippine Airline, Cebu Pacific are available from Manila, Cebu and Cagayan de Oro to Davao International Airport if by Air.

Via Sasa Wharf

It is located at Sasa Barge Rd, Buhangin, Davao City, Davao del Sur. This will take 10-15 mins travel time. Hire Habal-habal driver as your tour guide that costs around 800-1000 pesos.

Via Sta. Ana wharf

It is located near Magsaysay Park. The travel time is almost an hour that would take you directly to Kaputian Beach.
