Sagpulon Falls – The Alluring Waterfalls of Jasaan, Misamis Oriental

Sagpulon Falls is another magnificent tourist spot that you should not miss aside from Agutayan Reef and White Island which is particularly located in Brgy. San Isidro, Jasaan, Misamis Oriental.

The area is already developed before typhoon β€œPablo” came and struck the area that caused several damages of the facilities. They turned it into a small resort provided with different facilities like cottages for rent, picnic tables at the minimum price and created a big basin or a man-made mini pools for the tourist who would like to go for swimming.

The waterfall is very unique and definitely stunning. It is different from the other falls that I’ve seen. It has a natural beauty having the widest wall covered with moss that filters falling water. It is surrounded by the trees and beautiful rock formations.

To give you idea how big the Sagpulon falls is, check out the photos below.

Despite ‘no swimming’ signs, some can’t resist taking a dip in water like us. hahaha

So if you wanna go swimming, make sure you bring your own life vest and rash guard because the water is very cool and deep. There is a restricted part in the falls the you should pay attention to avoid any accident like hit by the falling rocks.

Aside from swimming you can do fishing as well.

How to get there?

It takes almost an hour travelling from Cagayan de Oro to reach Jasaan. You can ride a jeepney or bus from Agora Terminal that will cost you 25 pesos and tell the driver or conductor to drop you off at the Spring View Resort. From there, you can ride β€œhabal-habal” to reach the area which is situated few kilometers from the highway. Don’t worry because the road is already paved and very accessible.

As of now, the place is currently under construction and managed under government’s officials. It’s a big advantage for the tourists who would like to visit the place because it has no entrance fee. They will only allow the tourist to enter the premises for sightseeing but not open for swimming and bringing foods. The caretaker will inform you upon entering the place.

They built hanging bridge as another addition for the resort.
