How to get to El Nido, Palawan?

Palawan is a big province in the Philippines. Some places might take several hours to travel especially in El nido because you need to travel almost 5 hours from Puerto Princesa Airport by renting a van or a bus ride. Normally, if you are located outside Metro Manila or Cebu, you may take a connecting flight. Direct flight from Manila to El Nido is the fastest and direct way. So if you live in Cagayan de Oro you may take a flight in Laguindingan Airport To NAIA Terminal 4 then Puerto Princesa. Once you reached Puerto Princesa’s domestic airport, you need to travel almost 5 hours again by Van or Bus to reach El nido. I’m not sure how much would it cost you if bus ride because we rented van and they charged us 500.00 pesos per person and its hourly interval. There are agencies from the airport that offers package deal for tourist destination that you wish to visit aside from El Nido so I’m sure you will never run out of places and options to visit Palawan.

Where to Stay?

There were many places to stay in El Nido Palawan. Hotels are nearby the sea so it’s a big advantage to see the sunset and the beaches from hotel. I can recommend you the Island Front Resort. It is a popular place to stay because the tourist destinations are easy to access. So aside from being cheap, it offers different amenities and it has a daily buffet style breakfast for free.

Summer is the best time to visit El Nido, Palawan. You will surely enjoy the place that has a lot of spectacular tourist destinations to offer. Please check out the photos below:

Snorkeling is one of my favorite activities aside from island hopping..

I got a chance to take a picture with Mr. El Nido 2016 (Left). Peace Benny! 😀

The Hidden Beach

Our lunch was served like a feast.. It is part of the package tour actually. The food was delicious and I like their food presentations. It seems like they went to school and studied how to prepare dishes. Good Job Guys!

Island hopping wouldn’t be complete without the jump shot! Enjoying our stay here in Matinloc Island and Shrine.

The last thing I did before we headed back to Puerto Princesa is KAYAKING . It took me almost an hour to reach the other Island. It was my first and priceless experience and I would love to do some more next time.

  1. Your cover photo appears to be not that of Star Beach but part of the my twin coves in Matinloc located a stone throw away north of the Shrine. Nice photo but it is private.
